Kevin Charles (Pro) Hart, (1928 - 2006). An absolutely stunning extra large original oil on masonite by an Australian iconic art legend. An exceptional example of Pro Harts swamp scenes using vibrant earthy colours in traditional Pro Hart format. This is one of the nicest swamp scenes we have seen, full of colour and activity in generous in proportions. Titled 'Water Study' (Circa 1972) the artwork has been signed lower centre 'Pro Hart' and titled and catalogued verso. An exceptionally large sized piece and well priced for the discerning art collector. The frame is a lovely traditional 1970's double frame finished in gold tones with cloth trim. Both the artwork and frame are in good condition. Provenance: Private collector NSW.

Bio
Kevin Charles "Pro" Hart, MBE (30 May 1928 – 28 March 2006), was an Australian artist, born in Broken Hill, New South Wales, who was considered the father of the Australian Outback painting movement and his works are widely admired for capturing the true spirit of the outback. He grew up on his family's sheep farm in Menindee, New South Wales and was nicknamed "Professor" (hence "Pro") during his younger days, when he was known as an inventor.
