Kevin Charles (Pro) Hart, (1928 - 2006). A very large original oil painting on board by an Australian artistic legend. This is a wonderful example of Pro Harts familiar swamp scenes. (1972), titled 'Swamp' the artwork has been signed lower centre 'Pro Hart' and numbered verso and comes with a with Banziger Hulme Valuation of . The artwork is in excellent condition and the frame is a traditional 1970's frame and ready to hang. Painted in 1972, this painting is still regarded as an early work, even though it is 10 years after his first solo exhibition in 1962. Provenance: Well known QLD hairdresser 'Stephan', who sold it to a Brisbane pawnbroker in 2019 > Banziger Hulme 2020 to Private collector Queensland. A stunning piece in a large format that is rare to find these days from this series.

Bio
Kevin Charles "Pro" Hart, MBE (30 May 1928 – 28 March 2006), was an Australian artist, born in Broken Hill, New South Wales, who was considered the father of the Australian Outback painting movement and his works are widely admired for capturing the true spirit of the outback. He grew up on his family's sheep farm in Menindee, New South Wales and was nicknamed "Professor" (hence "Pro") during his younger days, when he was known as an inventor.
