Kevin Charles (Pro) Hart, (1928 - 2006). An original oil painting on board (Circa 1980) by an Australian iconic art legend. This is a example of Pro Harts vibrant swamp "Waterbirds" scenes using hues of blue in traditional Pro Hart format to convey the feeling of the swamp. Titled verso 'Waterbirds' the artwork has been signed lower right 'Pro Hart' and catalogued verso. A beautifully sized piece for the discerning art collector. The frame is the traditional 1980's double wood frame finished in bright gold with cloth inlay. The painting is in excellent condition with minor wear to the frame. Provenance: Private collector NSW.

Bio
Kevin Charles "Pro" Hart, MBE (30 May 1928 – 28 March 2006), was an Australian artist, born in Broken Hill, New South Wales, who was considered the father of the Australian Outback painting movement and his works are widely admired for capturing the true spirit of the outback. He grew up on his family's sheep farm in Menindee, New South Wales and was nicknamed "Professor" (hence "Pro") during his younger days, when he was known as an inventor.
