Kevin Charles (Pro) Hart, (1928 - 2006). Large original oil on board by an Australian iconic art legend. This is a exceptional example of Pro Harts swamp scenes using vibrant earthy colours in traditional Pro Hart format. This is one of the nicest swamp scenes we have seen, full of colour and activity. Titled 'Swamp Birds' the artwork has been signed lower right 'Pro Hart'. A beautifully sized piece for the discerning art collector. The frame is the traditional 1970's double frame finished in cloth and champagne gold tones. The painting itself is in excellent condition. Some minor marks to the side of the frame. Provenance: Private collector Victoria.

Bio
Kevin Charles "Pro" Hart, MBE (30 May 1928 – 28 March 2006), was an Australian artist, born in Broken Hill, New South Wales, who was considered the father of the Australian Outback painting movement and his works are widely admired for capturing the true spirit of the outback. He grew up on his family's sheep farm in Menindee, New South Wales and was nicknamed "Professor" (hence "Pro") during his younger days, when he was known as an inventor.
