Bio
Peter Browne is an Australian Postwar & Contemporary painter who was born in 1947. He commenced full time painting over 20 years ago, in a style that centres around Australian wildlife and folklore humour. Peter has held many successful exhibitions, both solo and in conjunction with other fellow brushmen from the scrub, together with noted artists ProHart, Jack Absolom and others, including several exhibitions in the United States and Europe.
His works are represented in many private collections, including the last outgoing Australian Governor General, Bill Hayden and the past State Governor of New South Wales, Sir Peter Sinclair.
