A vibrant original oil painting on board by highly renowned Australian period bush artist, John Guy (1944-2000). Titled 'Weekly Coach' (Woodside, S.A.) from the gold series, this highly collectible artwork is signed lower left 'GUY' and titled verso. Beautifully framed in it's original 1980's antique gold frame with double cream cloth trim and gold inlay. The artwork is in excellent condition, stretched and ready to hang. A wonderful piece of Australiana to add to you art collection. Provenance: Private collection Adelaide, SA.

Bio
Born in Launceston, Tasmania in 1944, John Guy was an Australian Postwar & Contemporary painter. He worked as a commercial artist, film producer and newspaper executive prior to 1976 when he became a full-time artist. A painter of stylised bush and historical works he exhibited widely in Queensland and in Sydney.
