John Cobby (b.1957), "Bert's Old Place" is a large original oil painting on board featuring a traditional creek scene, rich in the outback's earthy tones and loads of activity. Signed lower right 'Cobby' and titled and signed verso. John is best known for his original 'Aussie' iconic paintings and this on is one of the best. A large oil on board in the same ilk as Max Mannix, Pro Hart and Frank Harding. This impressive painting is in excellent condition and beautifully double framed in white and brushed gold. Provenance: From the Evan Mackley Estate Collection, Victoria. A stunning piece from a top tier Australian artist and so hard to aquire!
