Alice Cayley (1889-1960) - an absolutely beautfiul watercolour titled 'Seven Little Australians' c.1920. It features seven baby kookaburras on a branch. Signed lower left and in excellent condition. Reframed in 2003 with an inlay white matt and ornate gold frame, also in excellent condition. Alice is a daughter of Neville Henry Cayley, one of Australias most prominent bird artists. A lovely piece of original art to own from one of the finest bibrd artists of the 20th Century.

Bio
Alice Cayley was a daughter of artist Neville Henry Peniston Cayley and a sister of Neville William Cayley, also an artist. She was principally a watercolour artist working c1915-21, painting bird studies similar to those of her father and brother.
